Stephen Barrett, CEO, served his country and teammates for 21 years as a Navy SEAL, the last several years as Command Master Chief, the highest enlisted rank, and highest unit enlisted leadership position. While on active duty, Steve’s operational assignments include SEAL Team Eight from 2001 to 2007, where he completed multiple deployments to South America, Iraq, Europe, and Africa. He served in the Naval Special Warfare training command from 2007 to 2010 as lead Breacher Instructor, and was selected as the 2009 Sailor of the Year for Naval Special Warfare Center. From 2010 to 2016, Stephen served as Platoon and Troop Chief of SEAL Team Two while completing multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Africa.
In 2016 he transferred to Naval Special Warfare Group Two Logistic and Support Unit, where he served as the Operations Master Chief until 2017. Stephen then transferred to SEAL Team Four where he served as the Operations Master Chief from 2017 to 2019, and as SEAL Team Four’s Command Master Chief. His last operational tour was as the senior enlisted leader of the Recruiting and Manning department at Naval Special Warfare Group Eight. Stephen’s qualifications include as a U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief course graduate, a Static Line and Military Freefall Parachutist, a Naval Instructor, SEAL Sniper, Breacher, Master Training Specialist, Range Safety Officer, Close Quarter Combat/Small Arms Range/Demolition/Explosive Breaching/ Dynamic Ground Mobility qualified. His personal military awards include the Bronze Star with “Valor” for Heroism, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation, Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with “Valor,” Three Navy Commendation Medals, the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, four Navy Achievement Medals, and two Combat Action ribbons.
Martin “Marty” Foldes is the director of the BSLG Risk Management program. As part of his job responsibilities, Martin conducts internal and external security risk and resiliency assessments. He also develops emergency management preparedness and crisis response policies, programs, training, and processes.
Additionally, he creates business risk and continuity policies, plans, and training for BSLG’s clients to develop risk awareness, mitigation strategies, and resiliency.
Martin is a retired and decorated Navy SEAL who served more than seven deployments across the globe in the SOCOM (U.S. Special Operations Command) and JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command) communities, spanning 20 years from 1997 to 2017.
